2-Week on/off Rota Carer Companions

Retired professional gentleman in a large 5-bedroom detached rural home. Our client is 86, has early onset Alzheimer's, has recently been widowed and is looking for two high calibre carers on a 2-week on/off rota. Our client is intelligent and mobile and would like carers who can engage with him, take him for short country walks and drives (car provided), and stimulate him with conversation, going through books together and playing appropriate games.

She is intelligent, capable and can walk with a walker. She has Post-Polio Syndrome and needs to know her carer is nearby when she is eating.

A cleaner comes in twice a week. our client has recently had an artery operation and will need personal care whilst he is recovering but expects to be mobile within a few weeks. He also has macular degeneration and would like a companion who is happy to read books to him. Applicants must be able to cook and willing to play board games.

3-Week on/off Rota Carer Companions
Lancing, West Sussex

Retired couple in close to the sea in a 2-bed, 2-bath bungalow close to the sea are looking for two carers who will look after them and keep them company. They both have early onset dementia but still love to talk, sing, dance and go for walks along the seafront most days. Their carers will need to have a sense of fun and be happy to join in with them singing and dancing. They will also need to recognise when clients would prefer to be left alone together.  Carers will need to drive, have their own car (ideally), an ability to cook and happy to read books on military history together.

Carers must be artistic and happy to get involved with artistic projects, drivers (car provided) and happy to go for country walks, when she is strong enough. Prior to Covid, our client was independent but now has restricted mobility and post-op delirium.

Applicants must be able to drive (car provided), cook and be experienced and well trained in dementia. Our client is gentle and gracious and enjoys drives to the beach, music and dancing. He has recently been widowed and his daughter, who has Downs, comes to visit 2-3 times a week for lunch or dinner.

Companion will be required to provide companionship, running the household and accompanying client to appointments and days out. Our client has early dementia but is still able to enjoy lots of outings, entertaining friends and family, walking her dog, shopping and eating out when accompanied by her companion.
